01 Jul Meet our Intern: Louis!
Hello everyone! I am Louis, a rising Junior at Ithaca College majoring in Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications. I also have three minors: Graphic Design, Communication Management, and International Communications. On campus I am the Executive Director of Park Promotions (our campus ad agency), President of our American Advertising Federation, and PR Director for Portfolio Club. I am fresh off the plane after spending the last month studying studio art and fashion design in Florence, Italy.
Outside of Ithaca College, I was born and raised in Whitehall, New York. I still continue to stay involved with Whitehall by leading promotions for the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce for their Whitehall Festival, annual fundraiser gala, and the famous Sasquatch Festival…which I designed the logo for!
My favorite things in life are glamorous – I believe glitter, sequins, and sparkles belong everywhere. I will never turn down a shopping trip especially if it involves Ulta or TJMaxx, and it should always be followed by a bite at Panera Bread or Texas Roadhouse. My top 3 music artists are the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, and Sabrina Carpenter, yes, I am as mainstream as it gets. To tie it all together if I was fluent in another language besides English it would be Canva. I eat, sleep, and breathe Canva.
My life goal is to get a PhD and become an executive of an ad agency or start my own. I am looking to experience the day-to-day life of an ad agency worker/executive to get a taste of what my future could be like. I am excited to work on more marketing communications projects and expand my graphic design skills. Working with clients and making their ideas come to life seems like one of the most rewarding processes you can have.
I am beyond thrilled to be an intern for Advokate and spend my summer surrounded by the best yellow aesthetic!
