Press Release: Small Works show opens this Friday

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Shirt Factory Gallery, announces an opening reception for its second annual Juried Show of Small Works. Entries have a maximum image size of 12 inches in any direction and maximum frame dimension of 16 inches. The juror is John Hampshire, Associate Professor of Studio Art at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, New York and professional artist.

“This show is back by popular demand,” says Shirt Factory Gallery Coordinator Dave Francis. “We had 68 artists submit 168 works this year. It’s a little bit smaller than last year, but the work is outstanding.”

The Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony is Friday, April 4, from 5 to 7 PM. First prize is $250 cash, Second Prize is $150 and Third Prize is $100. There are also prizes from local businesses, Advokate, BJS Artworks, and Samantha’s Café & Catering. If last year’s opening was any indication, this is an event not to be missed.

The Gallery is located on the first floor in Suite 120 at the loading dock entrance of the Shirt Factory at the corner of Lawrence and Curran Streets in Glens Falls, New York.Press release
